FurFinds Terms of Service

Last Updated: 8/28/2026 These Terms of Service govern your use of the FurFinds website, platform, services, forms, applications, listings, reviews, and related features (collectively, the “Platform”). By using FurFinds, you agree to these Terms.

1. About FurFinds

FurFinds is a pet-friendly verification and discovery platform that helps pet owners find businesses, services, and organizations through transparent information, reviews, and FurFinds verification standards. FurFinds does not own, operate, control, or manage the businesses listed on the Platform. FurFinds provides verification services to help pet owners identify pet-friendly businesses. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by businesses, nor do we assume liability for any issues that may arise from your experience with a verified business. Pet owners should always confirm details directly with the business.

2. User Accounts

Users may create accounts as pet owners, businesses, nonprofit organizations, or other approved users. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account details current. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Pet Owner Responsibilities

Pet owners agree to:

  • Provide accurate pet information
  • Follow business pet policies
  • Keep pets under control
  • Clean up after pets
  • Respect staff, businesses, and other guests
  • Upload accurate vaccination records when required
  • Not submit fake reviews, false complaints, or misleading information
  • Not misrepresent service animal, therapy animal, or emotional support animal status

4. Business Responsibilities

Businesses agree to:

  • Provide accurate business and pet policy information
  • Follow FurFinds Verification requirements
  • Maintain accurate listings
  • Use the FurFinds Verified Badge only as approved
  • Respond to complaints or verification questions when needed
  • Notify FurFinds of major policy changes
  • Follow applicable laws, licensing, safety, and public health requirements

5. Unclaimed Business Listings

FurFinds may create business listings using publicly available information. Listings that have not been claimed by an authorized representative of the business may be identified as “Unclaimed.” Unclaimed Listings Unclaimed listings:

  • May be created using publicly available information, including business websites, directories, public listings,

reviews, and other publicly accessible sources

  • Have not been claimed or managed by an authorized representative of the business
  • Have not been verified by FurFinds unless expressly stated otherwise
  • May contain outdated, incomplete, or incorrect information
  • May have limited profile functionality until claimed

Claiming a Listing An authorized representative of a business may request to claim an existing listing. FurFinds may require information or documentation reasonably necessary to confirm the representative's authority to manage the listing. Once FurFinds confirms the claim, the listing may be identified as “Claimed.” Claiming a listing allows an authorized business representative to manage certain available listing information but does not mean that the business has been verified by FurFinds or qualifies for a FurFinds verification tier or badge. Verification A claimed business may separately apply for FurFinds Verification. Businesses that successfully complete the verification process may receive a FurFinds verification tier and permission to use the applicable FurFinds verification badge, subject to the Business Verification Agreement, Badge Usage Agreement, verification standards, and other applicable FurFinds policies. Payment of an application fee, subscription fee, or other charge does not guarantee verification or a particular verification tier. Listing Corrections and Disputes If a business disputes information displayed on an unclaimed or claimed listing, an authorized representative may submit a correction or dispute through the Contact Us page. FurFinds may request information necessary to verify the representative's authority and evaluate the disputed information. If a correction is warranted, FurFinds will update the listing within a reasonable timeframe after completing its review.

6. Reviews and User Content

Users may submit reviews, photos, complaints, reports, or other content. FurFinds may review, moderate, edit for clarity, restrict, or remove user-submitted content in accordance with these Terms and applicable Platform policies. Ownership and licensing of user-submitted content are addressed in Section 16. Users may not submit:

  • Fake reviews
  • Harassing content
  • Threats
  • Defamatory statements
  • Spam
  • Misleading claims
  • Private information of others
  • Content they do not have permission to share

7. Complaints and Reports

FurFinds may review complaints, reports, and disputes involving businesses or users.

Pet Owner Complaint Process:

1. Pet owners may submit complaints through the Platform (via the contact us page).

2. We will notify the business and give them 7 business days to respond.

3. If the issue is not resolved, we will review and take appropriate action, which may include tier adjustments or removal. 4. Where appropriate, FurFinds may refer serious matters to relevant third parties, regulatory bodies, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities. FurFinds may request evidence, contact involved parties, restrict accounts, suspend verification, remove content, or take other action based on its review. All actions are at FurFinds’ discretion.

8. FurFinds Verification

FurFinds Verification is based on information submitted by businesses, public information, reviews, community feedback, and FurFinds’ internal review standards. Verification status and tier assignments may change over time based on updated information, business policy changes, complaints, re-verification, or changes to FurFinds' verification standards. Verification does not guarantee safety, quality, availability, customer satisfaction, or that every pet will be accepted. Pet owners should review each business’s policies before booking or visiting.

9. Bookings and Third-Party Transactions

Some FurFinds listings may link to third-party websites or booking platforms. FurFinds is not responsible for third-party websites, booking systems, payments, cancellations, refunds, policies, or services unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Use FurFinds for unlawful purposes
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Abuse review or complaint systems
  • Harass users, businesses, or FurFinds staff
  • Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
  • Misuse FurFinds branding or badges
  • Interfere with Platform security
  • Scrape, copy, or misuse Platform data without permission

11. Account Suspension or Removal

FurFinds may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these Terms, applicable Platform policies, or applicable laws.

12. Disclaimer

FurFinds provides information and verification tools to support decision-making. FurFinds does not guarantee that any listed business, service, organization, or experience will meet every user’s needs or expectations. FurFinds Verification means a business has been reviewed under FurFinds’ standards and assigned a verification tier. It does not create a guarantee, warranty, endorsement of all business conduct, or promise that every experience will be perfect.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FurFinds is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to Platform use, business interactions, pet incidents, third-party services, reviews, complaints, or user-submitted content.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify FurFinds and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Your interactions with businesses or other users

15. Intellectual Property

The FurFinds Platform and FurFinds-owned content, including the FurFinds name, logos, verification badges, tier names and designs, graphics, text, verification materials, website design, software, and other original materials, are owned by or licensed to FurFinds and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by FurFinds, users and businesses may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, create derivative works from, or commercially use FurFinds intellectual property without prior written permission.

Verified businesses receive only the limited right to use FurFinds verification badges and related materials in accordance with the FurFinds Badge Usage Agreement and applicable brand guidelines. No ownership rights are transferred through verification or use of the Platform.

16. User Content Ownership and License

Users retain ownership of content they submit to FurFinds. By submitting reviews, photos, videos, comments, reports, business information, or other content to the Platform, you grant FurFinds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, format, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Platform and its services. You represent that you own the content you submit or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it and grant FurFinds the rights described above. Content submitted through separate FurFinds forms, social media campaigns, ambassador programs, pet-story submissions, contests, or other initiatives may be subject to a separate media release, content agreement, official rules, or additional terms. Where applicable, those terms govern FurFinds' use of that content.

17. Changes to the Platform

FurFinds may update, modify, pause, or discontinue features at any time.

18. Changes to These Terms

FurFinds may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our services, business practices, or applicable requirements. When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where appropriate, FurFinds may provide additional notice of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to the FurFinds Platform or these Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
